The Insurance Ombudsman Association is a specialized organization established to resolve complaints involving insurance businesses and problems between customers and insurance businesses in a fair, neutral, simple and speedy manner.
While the association endeavors to resolve issues by making requests to businesses regarding complaints received, as stipulated by law, if the parties involved are unable to resolve the problem, a consumer consultant or legal expert performs dispute resolution procedures.
Complaints and problems handled by the association are limited to issues concerning the business of companies that have entered into agreements with the Insurance Ombudsman Association. The businesses that have currently entered into an agreement with the association are mainly foreign-affiliated damage insurance companies and insurance brokerages.
